Title: Yan Chen presents "Application of Ensemble-Based Closed-Loop Optimization on Brugge Field" at the SPE-ATW on Closed Loop Optimization in Bruges, Belgium. The problem is fairly realistic (20 producers, 10 injectors, 3 completions per well, 7 rock relperm regions, several facies). Data is provided twice during the test case and participants are asked to optimize net present value of the reservoir. The OU solution to the workshop test problem is judged best of the nine solutions submitted. Co-authors include Ning Liu (Chevron) and Dean Oliver.
